Hydrangea serrata, also known as mountain hydrangea and “tea of heaven”, is a species of flowering plant in the Hydrangeaceae family. Its leaves, which are used to make herbal tea in some Asian countries, are rich in phyllodulcin, a compound that is more than 400 times sweeter than sugar.
