Down Syndrome

Down syndrome is a condition in which a person is born with an extra copy of chromosome 21. It causes lifelong intellectual disability and developmental delays, which vary in severity, and sometimes other health problems (e.g., hearing loss, obstructive sleep apnea, heart defects).
