Remnant lipoprotein cholesterol (aka remnant lipoprotein) is mainly composed of plasma cholesterols other than LDL (LDL-C) and HDL (HDL-C) cholesterol. It associated with the formation of plaque in the arteries and the risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
