High-sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP)

C-reactive protein is a marker of inflammation. “High sensitivity” refers to the test used to measure it: Hs-CRP assay can detect lower levels of CRP than the standard CRP assay, making it more useful when CRP is below the level of detection for the standard test (i.e., low-grade inflammation).
