Fatigue is a lack of 'energy'/'vitality', oftentimes leading to a lack of motivation or impaired physical or mental performance. Fatigue can be due to impaired hormonal production and signalling involved in metabolism, sluggish energy metabolism, intense activity, or inadequate recovery, among other causes. It can be countered by stimulants, though that may not be a good idea for the long-term due to drug tolerance. Foods and supplements that reduce fatigue may do so through being or affecting hormones involved in energy metabolism, or participating in improving enegy metabolism.
