Insositol hexaphosphate (IP6) is naturally found in cereals, where it is also referred to as phytic acid. It is suspected to play a role in high-fiber diets' negative correlation with colon cancer and possibly other cancers. There is no strong evidence that IP6 supplementation can reduce cancer risk in humans.
