This page is for supplements that appear to have pro-fertility effects in males. The studies tend to measure seminal parameters such as sperm motility and cell count, and these benefits do not necessarily extend to fertile men (ie. a supplement that increases sperm count in an infertile male may not necessarily increase seminal volume in a fertile male).



Suggested Supplements

Dosage: 2g

2g daily seems to be the lowest active dose of D-Aspartic Acid, and this supplement appears to be profertility and enhances seminal and testicular parameters in men. This supplement is also a testosterone booster, and one that may work in otherwise healthy men.



Dosage: 5g

5g of the basic root extract (not a concentrated extract, this would be equivalent to 500mg of a 10:1 extract) appears to be effective in partially restoring most parameters of fertility and seminal quality in infertile men, and where it lacks in potency it makes up for in breadth. At the moment, three independent large trials have confirmed the ability of ashwagandha to support fertility in otherwise infertile men (although none have counted conceptions).



Dosage: 3g

3g of L-carnitine daily appears to be pro-fertility in regards to enhancing seminal morphology (reducing the amount of abnormal sperm cells), with mixed effects on sperm motility.
