In this crossover study, males at risk of type 2 diabetes wore a continuous glucose monitor for two seven day periods separated by a two-week washout period. During one week they followed an early TRE diet (eating between 8am and 5pm), and during the other week they followed a late TRE diet (eating between 12pm and 9pm). Glucose, insulin, triglycerides, nonesterified fatty acids, and gastrointestinal hormones were calculated following a standardized meal at baseline and after each intervention.
