Notes for this study:
2,000 IU of alpha-tocopherol daily for five years in persons with Alzheimer's already on acetylcholinesterase inhibitor therapy noted that, relative to placebo, there was an improvement in symptoms as assessed by the ADCS-ADL rating scale thought to represent a 19% reduction in the rate of disease progression.

The addition of Vitamin E with memantine (20mg) showed no further benefits over Vitamin E in isolation.
