Notes for this study:
In persons with ulcerative colitis (noninfective) who administrated a high dose of 8,000 IU vitamin E rectally once daily, administration over 3 months was associated with a significant reduction of disease severity in all subjects (9 reporting remission) and in the 12 persons who elected to continue therapy no flare ups were reported over eight months (both subjects who did not continue reported flareups).
