Vitamin E Supplementation And Cataract: Randomized Controlled Trial
Notes for this study:
|Number of Subjects
In persons aged 55-80 with either early signs or no signs of cataract formation, supplementation of 500IU vitamin E (as alpha-tocopherol) daily for four years has failed to cause significant protective effects relative to placebo.
All cause mortality done in a secondary analysis did not differ between groups, nor did any reported side effects.
