In otherwise healthy young (20-50yrs) subjects given vitamin E supplementation as either 200mg of alpha-tocopherol or 200mg of mixed vitamers (mostly tocotrienols) both failed to have any apparent immunological benefit relative to control despite increases in plasma vitamin E.
