39 Iranian women who were experiencing pelvic pain or dysmenorrhea after laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis were given either vitamin D3 (50 000 IU weekly for 12 weeks) or placebo, starting 8 weeks after the surgery. On follow-up at 24 weeks after surgery, there wasn't any significant difference between the two groups' self-reported pain or dysmenorrhea.
