Supplementation of octopamine thrice daily in doses starting from 15mg (45mg daily) up to 30mg (90mg daily) for six weeks in women reporting incontinence noted that supplementation was associated with improved subjective symptoms in 52% of persons and 26% of persons reporting full continence.
A 10% increase in urethral pressure was noted to occur with octopamine, but overall was not statistically significant; it was only significant in those with worse baseline incontinence.
