12 weeks supplementation of fish oil (450mg EPA and 80mg DHA) in otherwise healthy young adults with low dietary fish intake (less than one oily fish a week) was able to promote cognition (was not statistically assessed) and cerebral oxygenation rates during cognitive testing (thought to be secondary to promoting overall blood volume in the brain).
