Notes for this study:
Supplemenation of a high dose (40g) of rosehip powder via a beverage daily for six weeks in obese persons without diabetes was able to reduce blood pressure mildly (3.7%) with minor reductions in total cholesterol due to the LDL component, although no other measured biomarker was changed.

Notes for this study:
32 subjects with a BMI between 25 and 30 were enrolled in this single-blinded12 week study that compared 100 mg rose hip extract to placebo. At the end of 12 weeks, bodyweight and abdominal fat area was significantly lower in the rose hip group compared to placebo, with no changes in caloric intake as measured by food diaries. No changes in blood chemistry or blood pressure was seen.

Three authors not involved in the data analysis were employees of the company which manufactured the rose hip extract used in this study.
