Supplementation of 10.5g rose hip powder daily for four weeks in persons with rheumatoid arthritis as well as a group of healthy controls failed to reduce symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis or to influence biomarkers (red blood cell antioxidant enzymes or C-reactive protein) relative to baseline; no placebo group was used in this study.
