A tea made from Southern Ginseng taken in divided doses (but 6g daily) was more effective than placebo in type II diabetics. Decrease in blood glucose reached 3.0+/-1.8 mmol/l (placebo down 0.6+/-2.2) and HbA1c was reduced 2%, which are both very notable.
