Notes for this study:
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 30 healthy participants took placebo, wheat grass, or 1 g spirulina daily for 30 days.

There was a greater reduction in blood malondialdehyde, improvement in total antioxidant status, vitamin C, and superoxide dismutase compared with placebo. There wasn't a difference in reduced glutathione.
