Supplementation of 730mg quercetin aglycone (two divided doses) for four weeks in persons with stage I hypertension is sufficient to reduce blood pressure, which did not occur in persons with normal blood pressure. The lipid panel and biomarkers of oxidation were unchanged in both groups.
