Notes for this study:
Supplementation of 3mg astaxanthin, but not 1mg, appears to be sufficient to raise concentrations of astaxanthin in red blood cells but failed to significantly reduce biomarkers of lipid peroxidation in these cells at either dose over 12 weeks.
