In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial, 20 healthy participants were allocated to 230 ml of juice which containing 200 ml of Concord grape juice, and 30 ml of blackcurrant juice, or 200 ml of white grape juice, 10 ml of black currant, and 20 ml of water daily 20 minutes prior to cognitive testing

Using Computerised Mental Performance Assessment System (COMPASS), the purple grape group saw a modest improvement in reaction time on attention tasks and significantly greater calmness, though no notable differences in memory, alertness, or contentedness.
