Iodine Intakes Of 100-300 μg/d Do Not Modify Thyroid Function And Have Modest Anti-inflammatory Effects

Supplementation of 100-300μg iodine daily to persons with sufficient iodine intake and no thyroid disease is able to cause very minor antiinflammatory changes as assessed by a reduction in IL-6 and C-reactive protein that correlated with urinary iodine concentrations.
