Application of six eye drops (trehalose concentration of either 100mM or 200mM) daily to one eye for four weeks, using the other eye as control, was able to reduce symptoms of dry eyes with 100mM appeared to be practically better (due to improving tear film breakup time) in subjects experiencing moderate to severe dry eye symptoms.
