Notes for this study:
In a randomized, controlled trial, 50 participants with open-angle glaucoma who were taking timolol and dorzolamide also took 30 mg of a saffron extract or placebo daily for 4 weeks.

34 participants completed the trial and were included in the analysis and the primary outcome was intraocular pressure, which was significantly reduced at 3 and 4 weeks in the saffron group compared with placebo.
