Notes for this study:
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 13 participants with liver metastasis took 100 mg of saffron or placebo daily during chemotherapy,

6 patients dropped out and 7 were analyzed. In the saffron group, there was one complete (all metastastic lesions eliminated) response, one partial (30% reduction), one stable, and one progressive (20% increase), while in the placebo group there were 2 stable and one progressive.
