The spike in insulin following an oral glucose tolerance test appeared to be greater in those relatively deficiency in vitamin K (lowest tertile of decarboxylated prothrombin), which was remedied with a single week of 90mg MK-4. Those sufficient in vitamin K did not experience any significant effects.
