1g of vitamin C, in two divided does to *acutely hospitalized persons*, was able to increase mood and blood leukocyte count. The former was assessed by the Profile of Mood States after 6 weeks of supplementation.
Bolded importance due to possible as more than 50% of the sample was vitamin C deficient at baseline.
