Supplementation of olive leaf extract (approximately 50mg oleuropein among other phenolics) was able to improve insulin sensitivity and both glucose and insulin after a glucose tolerance test, and appeared to increase IGF binding proteins. There was no significant influence on cardiovascular, inflammatory (aside form a slight increase in IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-a unaffected) nor lipid panels.Funding issues for this study:
