Notes for this study:
11 men were supplemented with 150mg resveratrol daily, HOMA (insulin sensitivity) improved along with drops in blood pressure (-6mmHg systeolic, -1mmHg Diastolic)

Sleeping metabolic rate was significantly reduced ( from 8.09 ± 0.24 to 7.75 ± 0.23 MJ/day) although the difference in overall metabolic rate was a tad out of statistical significance (P=0.06) and may be negated by a non-significant increase in diet-induced thermogenesis.

Alanine Aminotransferase (ALAT) decreased from 31.91+/-2.21 to 28.09+/-1.54 U/L.

Study conducted in type II diabetic patients, 10mg resveratrol daily (in two divided dosages) improved insulin sensitivity. This was not on the pancreatic level, but on the cellular level as assessed by normalization in Akt phosphorylation.

Decreased oxidative stress systemically, using ortho-tyrosine as a biomarker.

Notes for this study:
10 aged subjects with impaired glucose tolerance were given test meals to assess glucose metabolism, and subjected to 4 weeks of resveratrol supplementation at 1, 1.5, or 2g daily.

All three doses showed similar effects, which was a significant suppression of the peak blood glucose level and overall exposure to glucose in serum after meal ingestion. Fasting glucose was not changed.
