Two gels were used on the sides of the faces; trans-resveratrol on the right side and hydrogel (placebo) on the left.
Over a period of 60 days, with 20 subjects, a 53.75% mean reduction in the Global Acne Grading System (GAGS) was noted; a 9.7% reduction was noted on average when comparing amount of lesions from the resveratrol treated side of the face to the opposite side.
