Notes for this study:
Relative to placebo, both Theanine and the active control (1mg of Xanax) failed to modify anticipatory anxiety after acute usage. However, theanine was able to promote relaxation as assessed by the tranquil-troubled subscale of the VAMS (self-report survey).
