Rice Bran oil reduced LDL-C within 2 weeks of supplementation, but did not vary between 0.1% and 1.6% Gamma-Oryzanol content of the Rice Brain oil; total cholesterol was reduced, but to similar levels as the control of peanut oil.
While rice bran oil may be able to reduce LDL and improve HDL, this study does not provide evidence to support the role of Gamma-Oryzanol in this change.
