In otherwise healthy older individuals, 80mg of the red clover isoflavones over six weeks weeks was able to reduce arterial stiffness without necessarily affecting blood flow nor pressure, which was thought to be due to the formononetin content (which also decreased VCAM-1).Funding issues for this study:
