Isoflavones From Red Clover Improve Systemic Arterial Compliance But Not Plasma Lipids In Menopausal Women
Notes for this study:
|Number of Subjects
As assessed by ultrasound, red clover extract (40-80mg isoflavones) appears to increase arterial compliance by up to 23% in otherwise healthy postmenopausal women despite no influence on circulating lipids relative to placebo group (randomization had 5-fold more women in active treatment than placebo, and the sample size was only 17).
