Notes for this study:
In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial, 100 men who underwent varicocelectomy took 250 mg of l-carnitine 3 times daily for 6 months or no carnitine for 6 months. Sperm quality but not sperm count was improved more than placebo. DNA damage was reduced more as well.
