In this study, participants received either 3 or 4 g of l-carnitine orally prior to a running test. In the test itself, they started running on a treadmill at 10 km/h and increased 1 km/h every 3 minutes until exhaustion. Heart rate, blood samples, and perceived effort were collected at baseline and during each speed increase.
