2g of L-Carnitine L-tartrate daily for a period of 1 week in healthy resistance trained men was able to reduce markers of muscle damage (purine metabolism) after weight lifting, and a biomarker of oxidative damage (malondialdehyde) reduced to baseline sooner than placebo.
