Notes for this study:
In a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial, 232 participants with type 2 diabetic neuropathy took 1.5 g of acetyl-l-carnitine or 1.5 mg of methylcobalamin for 24 weeks.

The change in neuropathic symptoms was the primary outcome, and both groups saw similar improvements. There weren't notable differences in blood glucose or HbA1C.
