In this study, participants with peripheral artery disease received either 2 g l-carnitine or placebo daily for six months alongside a home exercise program consisting of one hour of treadmill exercise three times per week. Peak walking time, claudication onset time, ambulatory activity, quality of life, plasma carnitine, and safety data were assessed.
