Effect Of Propionyl-L-carnitine On A Background Of Monitored Exercise In Patients With Claudication Secondary To Peripheral Artery Disease
Notes for this study:
||There was no difference in ambulatory activity or quality of life between the placebo and l-carnitine groups.
|Number of Subjects
In this study, participants with peripheral artery disease received either 2 g l-carnitine or placebo daily for six months alongside a home exercise program consisting of one hour of treadmill exercise three times per week. Peak walking time, claudication onset time, ambulatory activity, quality of life, plasma carnitine, and safety data were assessed.
