Ingestion Of Tyrosine: Effects On Endurance, Muscle Strength, And Anaerobic Performance

In this randomized, double-blind, crossover trial, 20 male participants took 150 mg/kg of crystalline tyrosine or placebo on separate occasions prior to exercise testing.
There wasn't a statistically significant effect of tyrosine on Adrenocorticotropic hormone, epinephrine, norepinephrine, or cortisol during exercise. There weren't any statistically significant differences for total time on the treadmill, VO2max, handgrip, grip time, stair steps, or pull-ups. Mood wasn't notably different between groups either.
