In a study assessing the combination of chromium (200mcg daily as polynicotinate) and grape seed extract over two months, the group given only chromium supplementation failed to find a reduction in total cholesterol levels relative to placebo (as the 10+/-5% reduction failed to reach statistical significance) and other metabolic parameters were also unchanged.
