In postmenopausal women with high cholesterol (over 200mg/dL), supplementation of 200mcg chromium daily for three months was able to enhance the proliferation of lymphocytes when they were stimulated by mitogens, but did not influence basal lymphocyte counts after 12 weeks nor did they influence any other immune cell under basal concentrations.
The proliferative property of chromium was ablated by 3mg copper supplementation.
