Supplementation of 60g colostrum daily for eight weeks in otherwise healthy sedentary persons (at least three months of somewhat routine activity) subject to a weight lifting regimen (four times weekly) during the experiment noted that, relative to whey protein, that increases in muscle mass were seen in both groups yet comparable; an exception was total limb circumference and cross sectional area, but the increase in colostrum relative to whey was thought to be due to lower baseline values in the colostrum group.
