Notes for this study:
A meta-analysis investigating the role of ginkgo supplementation for prophylactic treatment of cognitive impairment associated with strokes found that while there are some studies noting a significant improvement, that the largest and most well controlled study failed to find a protective effect. The authors concluded insufficient evidence to support a role of ginkgo in treating strokes.
