A 65% ethanolic leaf extract taken at 90mg twice daily (988mcg bilobalide and 440mcg ginkgolide A and 262mcg Ginkgolide B over the course of the day) is able to increase microcirculation in elderly persons over the course of 30 days, and microcirculation was noted to be increased in hepatic tissue.

Oxidation appeared to be reduced due to an increase in reduced glutathione concentrations.
