Supplementation of the mother (last month of gestation) and offspring (first month of life) with _L. reuteri_ ATCC 55730, when the family was known to be at risk of passing on allergic diseases (due to parental lineage possessing them) failed to alter the risk of asthma, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, eczema, or skin prick test reactivity relative to placebo.
