Thrice daily supplementation of 300mg of a water extract of _tinospora cordifolia_ (5% bitter principles) for 8 weeks in persons suffering from allergic rhinitus was able to offer complete resolution of symptoms in 61-83% of persons (depending on parameter measured, with most efficacy against sneezing and least in regards to nasal obstruction).
Leukocytes were increased in the serum of 69% yet reduced in 25% of persons; it was not clear how large of a change this was or the reason for the differences. In nasal mucosa, neutrophils and eosinophils (57% for the latter) decreased.
