Notes for this study:
14 patients , seven males and seven females, were treated with N-acetylcysteine 1200 mg/day orally . The baseline lesion counts decreased from
19.07+6.6 to 9.5+3.59 after eight weeks of supplementation. The N-acetylcysteine group saw a 50% reduction in total lesion counts and this outcome was statistically significant P ≤ 0.05.
