Mucuna Pruriens, at 5g dried powder for 3 months, was able to rescue sperm motility and count as well as possibly fertility in 75 men suffering from infertility.
Benefits on sperm motility, count, and seminal volume was increased in the control group as well who had no seminal problems (although they did have infertility)
Testosterone increased significantly in persons with low sperm parameters (3.89 to 5.40ng/mL, 2.65 to 3.66ng/mL for the two experimental groups) and increased in the control group who was infertile but with no aberrations in spem (4.49 to 5.72ng/mL)
Although 'infertile with no semen aberrations' was used as an active control, the group of fertile men were not subject to Mucuna supplementation.
Dopamine, adrenaline, and noradrealine content of serum and semen increased universally across all groups.
